Immer wie mehr kaufe ich Bücher, bis jetzt jedoch nur technische, im eBook Format. Ich hab das Buch auf all meinen mobilen Geräten immer dabei, kann nach Stichworten suchen und natürlich auch Abschnitte markieren und kommentieren. Ich bin überzeugt, dass sich mein Bücherregel immer wie mehr vernachlässigt vorkommen wird. Einzig, das Ding mit den Lesezeichen hab ich noch nicht so ganz begriffen ;)

Apple hat es leider bis jetzt noch nicht hingekriegt mit dem iBook Store in der Schweiz. Aus diesem Grund schneiden sich meine Finger am virtuellen Papier aus Büchern aus Amazons Kindle Store. Apple wird es nicht leicht haben, wenn sie irgendwann doch noch mit dem iBook Store kommen, da sich Bücher aus dem Kindle Store wohl nicht transferieren lassen werden.

Aus diesem Grund habe ich für Ihn und seine Verlobte eine Internet Präsenz erstellt (http://corinnastefan.ch) Schnell stellt sich die Frage wie man das Thema Geschenke abhandeln könnte.

Ein paar Stunden Arbeit, und ein kleines aber feines WordPress Plugin ist geschrieben. Über eine zentrale Datenbank können Geschenke vom Brautpaar erfasst werden und die Gäste können sich bequem an Geschenken beteiligen. Sobald ich Zeit finde, werde ich die letzen Kanten und rauen Seiten des Plugins noch bearbeiten und zu wordpress.org als offizielles Plugin hochladen.

All i’ve done is just disabling the option of keeping copies of my mails locally for offline viewing. Damn, i have more than 50GB mail data? Oukay, thats a different topic… Especially if you’ve done an search in your mailbox every mails gets downloaded from the server. Due to i’m working with an IMAP Account i really do not need offline copies.

sourceTube ist eine cloud basierende Projekt Plattform. In sourceTube können, vorzugsweise IT/Software Projekte, von A-Z geplant, realisiert und gepflegt werden. Hier ein paar Stichworte:

  • Zeit erfassung
  • Subversion nahtlos integriert
  • Webbasiertes Management

Only problem is, a last minute issue (due to patent trolling?) has caused them to pull support for AirPrint in OS X. Don't panic! You can return it, but you're going to have to pull some files from a prerelease version of 10.6.5. The files you need are (http://cl.ly/99eaa26e6a7273db9ca0): /usr/libexec/cups/filter/urftopdf /usr/share/cups/mime/apple.convs /usr/share/cups/mime/apple.types If you migrate those from a 10.6.5 prerelease build (there seem to be many floating around torrent sites and file sharing sites – build 10H542 works; naturally I can't link you to the files themselves, sorry!) to your machine you're just one step away from having AirPrint working. The final key thing is you have to remove and re-add your printer in the Print & Fax preferences pane. Once you do that (and share your printer in the Sharing preferences pane) it should show up on any iOS devices that support AirPrin…
